My First Hackathon

I'm sorry guys, this is a little late. A few months ago, I attended my very first hackathon, UofT Hacks. It was an interesting experience and probably wasn't the best hackathon for a first timer. It was honestly pretty poorly planned and disorganized. I remember starving for most of the event and having to order takeout from Chinatown. My team was pretty disorganized too, note to self, its better to team up with people with previous hackathon experience than it is to team up with friends, but it is a bonus if said friends have prior experience. Also, if you do go to a hackathon, make sure you have access to a shower and bring a fresh change of clothes otherwise you'll feel and smell like shit by the end of it all. I may add more details to this but it will have to be later on since I am currently still not feeling my best and was only just discharged from the hospital so shoot me an email or leave a comment if you have any questions about hackathons.

Be Back in December

Just a heads up, going MIA until I finish finals in December. I'm sure you all understand. I will be more active when finals are over. I will continue to reply to emails but I am very sorry if I don't get back to you for a while.

Lecturers to Avoid

Here I will be listing lecturers that you should do your best to avoid. If you have your own list of lecturers to avoid, please do share and I will add them to this list.

• Jonathan Buss (CS 245)
• Very intelligent man but can't teach at all
• Forgot to attend one of his lectures so his students ended up sitting in the room for a while until someone decided to call his office
• Edward Chan (CS 348)
• Narrow minded
• If your solutions don't match his exactly, you lose 5 marks for each difference
• His database design is the only correct design... (WTF?)
